The VLV conversion equipment has been developed to provide compact
emergency lighting equipment to suit standard 12 Volt Tungsten Halogen
downlight luminaires.

The equipment utilises a semi-flexible "string" of valve regulated
lead acid batteries enabling the pack to pass through a 75mm cut out,
enabling, in many cases, the VLV equipment to pass through the
cut-out required to install the luminaire.

The VLV will provide three hour duration non-maintained emergency
lighting operation for lamps up to 50 Watts. By connecting an additional
remote transformer, the luminaire may be used for both normal switched
mains and emergency lighting.
